JUDY ANDREWS
is a retired preschool teacher and librarian. She has been very involved with the Playhouse since moving to York in 2011, and has previously served on the board from 2012-2022. From working in the box office, to running stairs for costumes, to making weird thunder noises for productions, Judy has helped in numerous spaces to help the show go on. Judy has two adult children and three grandchildren, and enjoys spending time with her cat and dogs. She also is an avid knitter and “voracious reader too”. Not only would she love to include the YP board as another volunteer outlet, she also is a Nebraska Czech and volunteers at Czechfests across the state, is starting volunteering at the York Children’s Museum once training is done, and is a clerk to help work elections in York County. As she is currently retired, she would like to use her free time in volunteering for the YP Board. She believes that there is a “vital element” in the Yorkshire Playhouse’s presence in town and would like to see it continue flourishing. Judy has the time, experience, and love for theatre to want to give back in the same manner, especially since it requires effort from many individuals working together. She would like to volunteer for the productions, events, and facilities committee.
DALTON BRANDT
graduated from York University and was involved in numerous theatre productions there and a handful of plays here at the Playhouse. He is a teacher at Ombudsman in Grand Island and enjoys doing anything theatre related, voice acting, puzzles, journaling, and watching shows. As theatre is a huge part of his life, Dalton would be honored to volunteer on the YP Board of Directors and it would also allow him to learn and apply himself to serve the community through the Playhouse.
LUCY HAARMANN
has been in the York community since she was 4 and has 2 older siblings. In 2023, she graduated from UNK with a degree in theatre and she loves all things art- except for drawing. She loves painting, sculpting, and all things performing arts. In her free time, Lucy enjoys watching movies- especially horror, collecting rocks and miniature items, building Lego sets, crafting materials, and collecting pins. Lucy is in pursuit of a job and is hoping that through serving on the board can spark more volunteering energy. As she has previously been in YP performances, she would love to increase her involvement by helping choose scripts and reaching out to others about the Playhouse through any committee.
HOLLY KENNEDY
is a mother to four children: Ben, Beth, Rosie, and Lily. She works as a substitute teacher and loves working with children, and in her free time she enjoys music and hanging out with her husband Andy. Holly volunteers as a site coordinator for afterschool program, on the Fine Arts Booster Board, Post Prom Board, and the York Area Children’s Museum Board. Holly would love to continue giving back to the community through her love of the fine arts.
DANAE MIZNER
has two active children and is married to Dale. She is a theatre enthusiast, owns Forby's Shaved Ice, and enjoys traveling, audio books, and hanging out with family and friends. Danae works at Cornerstone Bank and Academy Travel. She has always enjoyed the productions at the YP and the company that comes with it. Volunteering on the board would bring her more involvement with giving time to the theatre.
COLEMAN OUTHET
works at Central Valley Ag and is a volunteer firefighter/ EMT, and his family consists of: Megan- his wife- and two children, Rylee and Liam. He enjoys working with cattle, spending time outdoors, and being with his family. Coleman would like to serve on the board to promote live theatre and keep it going in our community.
GEOFF ROSE
lives in Henderson with his wife and two children. He enjoys reading books, visiting the theatre, watching movies and travelling with his family. Geoff owns Old Glory Roofing, and is a volunteer firefighter and EMT in Henderson and has served on the board of directors for the last three years- the past year as vice president. Geoff believes that the Playhouse is a valued part of the local community and that the board members are some of the best people he’s met. He feels honored to have served previously and would be blessed to continue to serve on any committee.
JEN ROSE
is a mother to Kaelyn and Jack, and has been married to Geoff Rose for 21 years. She has had experience in theatre throughout her high school and college years with stage management and set building. Jen owns an in-home daycare in Henderson and would like to serve the YP Theatre by being on the board and giving back to the community by showing her love for the arts on the facilities committee.
LAUREN THOMAS
works at Mogul’s Transmission & Towing, and enjoys watching Cdramas and rewatching movies, reading, writing, acting, and playing videogames with her friends, cousins, and sister. Her parents are Paul and Alicia Thomas, and her sister and her sister’s family is Paige, Peter, Madilyn, and Liam. Atlas- Great Pyrenees- and B.R Slushie- Betta Fish- are the family pets. Lauren has volunteered on the YP board and in box office, acting, directing/ AD/ co-directing, is a youth leader & Sunday school teacher at Great Plains Community Church- York Campus. She also volunteers at TRAC and hopes to extend that to Royal Family Kids Camp (RFKC). Lauren has enjoyed working on the programs for numerous previous plays, and enjoys thinking up fun captions for social media posts & creating silly promo graphics.
