*Parent Meeting for all cast members:  Thursday May 17 @ 7:00 p.m. @ Yorkshire Playhouse. A representative for each child cast must be in attendance at this meeting.  At this meeting the program will be explained, the program fee collected, permission forms signed, comp tickets will be handed out and parents need to sign up for areas to help with the production (This happens after costs have been paid, or scholarship have been applied for).  Bring your calendar for the month of June.  A representative for cast members must be at the meeting for the actor to participate.

Cast Posting:  The cast list will be posted by May 14 @ 5:00 p.m. at the Playhouse front window. It will be posted here at yorkshireplayhouse.com/blog sometime within 24 hours of casting, and links will be posted via Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Cost:  Each child participating in The Yorkshire Children's Theatre must pay a joining fee of $45.00.  The fee includes the production script, production T-shirt and two tickets for the production.  Fees are only paid by those who are cast in the production.  Scholarships are available for families who cannot afford the fees.  This fee will be collected at the parent meeting.

Warning:  Unfortunately, not all children who audition can be selected for the production.  Please prepare your child for the possibility of not making the production.

Casting Expectations:  Those who are cast in the production are expected to be at all performances.  Those who make the production are expected to be at all rehearsals, and ready to work on the production.  Theatre is a team art.  Everyone is important, and without complete cast commitment, the show suffers. All actors are expected to learn their lines and blocking by the assigned dates.

Director:  John I. Baker III

Assistant Director: To be announced.

Student Intern:  To be announced.

Parents:  Parents of cast members are expected to help with some area of the production.  Without parent help the Yorkshire Playhouse Children’s Theatre would not exist.  Areas that parents can sign up to help include:  costumes, set building, set painting, and rehearsal lobby sitting.  Signup for production help will be done at the Thursday, May 17 parent meeting.

1st Costume Meeting:  If you are interested in helping with costumes the first costume meeting will be held at the Playhouse on Thursday May 29 @ 7:00 p.m.

Questions:  Question about the production can be directed to the Yorkshire Playhouse @ yorktheater@gmail.com.

*This meeting is important – we have had too many problems when parents do not come to the meeting.
