Audition Dates:
Wednesday & Thursday, April 29-30 -- 3:30PM-6PM
Friday, May 2nd -- 10AM-12PM
Open auditions will be held for children who are entering the 2nd Grade to teens entering their Senior year. Auditions consist of cold reads and improv; no prepared material is required.
Parents can contact us by clicking submit a request for an audition time beginning April 6th
Or parent's can contact us via email at yorktheater@gmail.com on or after April 15th. When emailing, please include your name, your phone number, your child's name, the grade your child will be entering in the fall, and the times they are available to audition. As our Playhouse is staffed by volunteers, we will only be setting up auditions after April 6th. Parents may email us any time before the first audition.
Walk-ins on day of auditions will be given the next available audition time. There is a fee for all children who are involved in Children's Theatre, which will be paid at the parent meeting prior to rehearsals beginning. Scholarships are available. Parents are expected to be involved in some aspect of the production. Rehearsals begin May 25th and all children are expected to attend all rehearsals or notify the director of any conflicts at auditions. Performances are June 18-20 @ 7PM and June 21 @ 2PM.
